The OLC/OLCT 100 range of fixed detectors has been designed for detection of combustible gases, toxic gases or oxygen. Available in explosion-proof or intrinsically safe versions, the OLCT 100 is suitable for detection of all gases in ATEX zones. The OLCT 100 is available in a stainless steel version, offering increased resistance to corrosive elements (ideal for marine, wastewater treatment plants, food processing activities, etc). This stainless steel intrinsically safe version is certified for use in zones 0 (gas) and 20 (dust), whereas all other versions of the OLCT 100 are certified for use in zones 1 (gas) and 21 (dust). OLCT 100 XP Explosion-proof version is equipped with a catalytic, electrochemical or semiconductor sensor, for detection of combustible, toxic gases or oxygen. OLCT 100 IS Intrinsically safe version is equipped with an electrochemical sensor for detection of toxic gases or oxygen. OLCT 100 XP IR Explosion-proof IR version is equipped with an infrared sensor for detection of CO2 , SF6 and some freons. OLCT 100 XP HT High temperature explosion-proof version for detection of combustible gases up to 200°C. High temperature cable included: 5, 10, 15 meter lengths. Reliability The OLC(T) 100 is SIL 2 certified by INERIS, according to the EN 50402 standard, which corresponds to IEC/EN 61508 for gas detectors. Two types of relays: 2 gas alarm relays or supplementary inputs 1 fault relay The relays are actuated either directly by the sensor electronics or supplementary inputs, or from the MX62 central unit or the control system to which the sensor is connected. The relays can be in safety mode or not, triggered on increasing or decreasing alarms, manually* or automatically acknowledged. * By remote control, by pressing an external pushbutton connected to the dedicated binary input, by acknowledging on the MX 62 unit or the control system to which the sensor is connected. Flexibility of connection modes OLCT 80 sensors can be connected either: in loop (opto-isolated - up to 16 sensors), 4-20 mA, under direct power and operate as a central unit. Operation traceability The operator can check records locally for the most recent time-date stamped events. Communication Remote dialogue with the sensor using IR remote control. Measurement power supply redundancy Independent ports allow a redundant connection to the measurement unit. Low power requirements The leading edge technology used in the OLCT80 transmitter makes it very energy efficient. This major advantage means that more sensors can be connected, with smaller wire cross-sections and over greater distances. Logistic advantages Loop arrangement The transmitter is perfectly adapted to mounting and connection to the digital fieldbus loop of the MX 62 unit. Supporting 1 to 3 digital addresses: the sensor block (detection element), the two 4-20 mA auxiliary inputs. Certification The OLCT80 Series is certified to the specifications required by standards EN 50054, 45544 and 50104 (environmental standards, explosive and toxic gases and oxygen) and to the specifications of standards EN 50270, EN 6052 (electromagnetic compatibility, ingress protection). OLCT 80 uses digital logic and software technologies. The generation of high quality gas detectors designed for the detection of flammable, toxic gases or oxygen. The OLCT 60 Series is available in several versions: Explosion-proof XP or intrinsically safe IS sensor (combustible, toxic or oxygen versions). Remote or on-board sensor. The OLCT 60 can be remotely mounted, allowing detection in inaccessible locations or in Zone 0 or 20 in the case of the intrinsically safe (IS) version. The OLCT 60 is equipped with a local display and non-intrusive access to a safe menu. In hazardous areas, calibration can be done without the need of a hot work permit. The detector units are made of 316L stainless steel, and are rugged and resistant to corrosion. Certified IP66, the OLCT 60 is sealed against dust and splash water. The versatile instrument is the ideal solution for gas detection covering all industrial needs for a wide variety of applications.
