NICKEL HIGH TEMP 12- 1/2# Greases
Nickel Hi-Temp is a premium quality anti-seize and gasket compound for use in extreme temperatures and hostile environments. The carrier of this remarkable compound volatizes upon exposure to high temperatures and deposits a nickel metallic plating on threaded connections, preventing metal-to-metal contact and guarding against seizing and galling. Nickel Hi-Temp contains pure nickel flake and a nearly inert dispersing solid in a high quality, aluminum complex base grease which provides unsurpassed protection from rust by water penetration or water wash-off. Nickel Hi-Temp does not contain copper, lead, graphite, chlorides or other halogens, phosphorus or silicones. It may be safely used with ammonia, acetylene, and vinyl monomers which are unstable in the presence of copper. Nickel Hi-Temp contains no graphite. This is an additional benefit on stainless steel applications when temperatures exceed 550°F (288°C), as graphite would carbonize and weaken the steel. The solids package in Nickel Hi-Temp produces a matrix of particles which settle in successive layers or "sandwich". This allows the solids to serve as a lubricant, cushion and seal. This layering does not allow the welding under compaction that leads to seizure and galling.BENEFITS: LEAD-FREE - contains no lead, copper or graphite. PROTECTION - prevents seizure up to 2,600°F (1,427°C). PROTECTS AGAINST RUST AND CORROSION. CHEMICALLY INERT. ACID RESISTANT. STRONG RESISTANCE TO WATER WASH-OFF. BRUSHABLE TO 0°F (-18°C). NOT RUNNY - will not run, drip or settle out. APPLICATIONS: Used extensively in refineries, chemical plants, petro-chemical plants, power generation facilities and other harsh environments on items such as:Burner Tips - Reactor BoltsHeat Exchangers - ManifoldsFurnace Hinges - Manhole StudsPipe FittingsNote: Not for use on oxygen or LPG lines.Size and Type Container: CS Weight: 8 LBS. -

NOVAGARD EP 0 Drum Greases
Whitmore's Novagard extreme pressure aluminum complex base grease can be used in a variety of grease-lubricated mining applications. Because of its excellent water resistance, wide operating temperature range, extreme pressure and antiwear characteristics, users have found that Novagard can replace several previously stocked greases. This aids in reducing inventories and lessening the chance of misapplication. Novagard contains MoS2 and graphite to provide solid film lubrication which plates out on lubricated components to virtually eliminate metal-to-metal contact, even under severe shock loading conditions. Since it is available in four grades, including one formulated to be used at -45°F (-43°C), it is easily applied, both manually or by automatic systems, in virtually all ambient temperatures. With a dropping point in excess of 425°F (218°C), Novagard also provides protection in many elevated temperature applications. This wide operating range allows operators to use a single grade of Novagard under varying weather conditions. Many equipment applications experience stop and go conditions or reversing direction. This tends to shear down conventional greases, necessitating frequent relubrication, and may shorten bearing life. Novagard has excellent mechanical stability which allows it to retain its original structure and consistency, even when worked very hard for extended periods under varying loads and speeds. BENEFITS: WATER-RESISTANT – repels water. EXTREME PRESSURE - protects against shock loads, welding and scoring. This results in fewer replacement parts and reduced downtime. OPERATING RANGE - is easily pumped and protects in temperatures ranging up to 330°F (165°C) which reduces the need for seasonal grade changes. SEALS OUT DIRT AND CONTAMINANTS - the durable aluminum complex base forms a protective barrier. VERSATILE FORMULATION - ideal for a wide range of operating environments and applications. Helps reduce inventories and prevent misapplication. APPLICATIONS: Whitmore's Novagard extreme pressure grease is designed to lubricate antifriction bearings and bushings. It is also recommended for vehicle chassis points and U-joints as well a pivot points and bucket pins on earthmoving equipment. Novagard will provide extended service intervals and reduced wear to draglines, shovels, excavators, trucks, conveyors and other rolling stock as well as in-plant applications.Size and Type Container: Drum Weight: 446 LBS. -

NOVATEMP 1.5 50CT CARTRIDGES Greases
Novatemp is designed to lubricate bushings and other sliding components at high temperatures. At high temperatures the solids in Novatemp take over as the fluid carrier portion evaporates. Novatemp contains almost 15% lubricating solids. Long after the base oil has evaporated due to heat, the MoS2 and graphite provide a laminating film that protects sliding machine elements. Novatemp loses its "greasiness" and becomes a dry film lubricant. Novatemp provides this extra measure of lubrication without the use of lead. Although it has the appearance of a normal bearing grease, Novatemp is not ideal for use on precision roller or ball bearings with internal clearance C2 or CN. The high proportion of solid lubricants can be a detriment for precision bearings. For these anti-friction bearings, use Whitmore’s Matrix® high performance grease. BENEFITS: HIGH TEMPERATURE PERFORMANCE - fluid carrier dissipates at elevated temperatures, depositing a protective film of solid lubricants on moving parts. It protects at temperatures up to 1200°F (650°C) in the dry lubricant phase. ALUMINUM COMPLEX SOAP THICKENER - may be used to lubricate sliding component at normal ambient, as well as high temperatures. SOLID FILM LUBRICANTS - MoS2 and graphite plate out on metal surfaces, reducing metal-to-metal contact and wear. APPLICATIONS: Novatemp is recommended for the lubrication of bearings and bushings that operate at temperatures up to 1200°F (650°C). Typical applications include kiln car wheel bearings, oven door hinges, threaded fittings, oven conveyors and furnace bearings. Use only in bearings designed for high temperature application, with internal clearance C3 or greater.Size and Type Container: CS Weight: 50 LBS. -
