Kopper Plate is a low-friction, anti-seize lubricant manufactured from a combination of micro-size copper flakes and graphite, dispersed in a water-resistant grease and fortified with antioxidants, plus rust and corrosion inhibitors. Kopper Plate contains a patented EP additive to provide extra protection no other compound can offer. Kopper Plate provides a shield against metal-to-metal contact, thus preventing seizure and corrosion. Its ingredients create an effective matrix between mated surfaces and are unaffected by contraction or expansion. It fills irregularities and imperfections and resists welding, hardening or setting. Kopper Plate provides low friction and cushions impact and shock loads. Low shear between particles reduces stick-slip, allowing quick disassembly with minimum wrench torque. It will not squeeze out of the threads, gum up or wash off. Kopper Plate has no equal in temperature services up to 1,800°F (982°C). Fittings that are heated red hot, then allowed to cool, can quickly be disassembled without seizure or distortion. Kopper Plate is recommended for production and maintenance jobs where speed in assembling and dismantling is essential. It assists in reducing downtime and provides full use of machinery and equipment, saving valuable man-hours while increasing production. Nowhere is grease pumpability more important than on mining machines such as draglines and shovels. The lubrication lines are long, the temperature can drop to deep freeze conditions, and in many parts of the world the machines don’t stop in cold weather. Legacy EP will pump to the boom point sheave bearing in the bitterest winter conditions. The thickener, synthetic oil and polymer in Legacy EP have been selected with ease of pumping in mind, yet without sacrificing performance in summer conditions. This is an ideal high-performance multi-purpose grease. Legacy EP is also highly recommended for use in electric motor bearings that are subjected to widely varying temperatures, especially low temperatures. BENEFITS: EXTREME PRESSURE - additives protect highly loaded bearings. WATER-RESISTANT - the aluminum complex thickener makes the grease water-resistant. LOW TEMPERATURE - can be used at temperatures down to -45°F (-43°C) COMPATIBILITY - suitable for use in equipment where Whitmore’s SurStik or SurStik 800 open gear lubricant is used. Incidental contact will not wash the coating from the gears.
