The primary features of this heavy-duty grease are tolerance for water and the ability to withstand heavy loads. Compass EP is a lithium-calcium grease, fortified with synthetic polymers that cause the grease to cling to metal and repel water, even at high pressure. When water does eventually get mixed into the body of the grease, the impact is less than with conventional grease. Compass EP contains additives that counteract the negative impact of water ingress. During standardized laboratory testing, water was mixed for 5,000 strokes; the degree of softening was then measured. There was no measurable effect on the consistency of the grease. Under this test, many greases become soft to the point of flowing. The ability of Compass EP to withstand extreme pressure is evidenced by the high weld point (500 kilograms) on the Four Ball machine. End users consistently report that Compass EP performs under load as well as greases that cost substantially more. BENEFITS: RESISTS WATER – keeps a protective film on metal. CJLF applies easily in a wide range of temperatures and conditions, and is resistant to washout. It will not harden or bleed excessively in storage. APPLICATIONS Lead-free answer for drill collars and drill pipe. Recommended for all drilling applications (rotary shouldered connections). It also is effective for use on open gear jack-up legs. Decathlon CCL oils are fully synthetic chain lubricants for E-Coat paint lines and water-based paint systems. These adherent lubricants were developed for chain lubrication of overhead and floor conveyors where lubricants might get into the paint bath. Decathlon F is a fixed formulation fluid in group IV PAO base oil (synthetic) for use in Flender’s helical bevel and planetary gear units. Decathlon F Synthetic oil is an extreme pressure lubricant formulated to meet the exacting demands of enclosed gear systems including differentials, transmissions, and industrial gear boxes.
