EARTHKEEPER WRL Drum Chain and Cable Fluids
Wire ropes are a machine component. Like any other machine component, they have moving parts that require lubrication. Bending and stretching of the rope results in friction and a good anti-wear lubricant is called for. Earthkeeper WRL penetrates to the core, ensuring that the rope is lubricated throughout. The oil is treated with additives that enhance anti-wear capabilities and even provide a degree of extreme pressure protection. Wire rope life is extended. Downtime for rope changes is reduced and production is increased. Earthkeeper WRL is ideal for marine environments. Negative consequences from accidental spillage are greatly reduced, as it easily passes all tests for biodegradability and is classified as “Readily Biodegradable”. Earthkeeper WRL meets the definition of a biobased lubricant as outlined in section 9001 of The Farm Security and Rural Investment Act (FSRIA) of 2002 (Public Law 107-171/ HR 2642) and qualifies for preferred procurement by U.S. Federal Agencies as set forth in FSRIA section 9002. ENVIROLUBE EXTREME MEDIUM KEG Open Gear Lubricants
When it comes to protecting heavily loaded open gears, Whitmore’s Envirolube has been recognized by OEMs and end-users alike as the product that gets the job done. In 2012 Whitmore introduced a further improvement. A special blend of new anti-wear chemistry was added. The resulting product has been named Envirolube Extreme. Nothing has been taken away from the original Envirolube. The synergy created by the Extreme additive system reduces friction and wear to levels that were never thought possible. Friction reduction: 28.1%. Wear reduction: 28.5%. When Envirolube Extreme is used, new gears (and even damaged gears) are smoothed through a combination of chemical polishing and compression caused by high load. This process is often called "Planishing". There is no need for special running-in products Ideally, Envirolube Extreme should be sprayed intermittently onto the gears. This allows for partial evaporation of the solvent, resulting in a dramatic increase in the viscosity of the lubricant on the gears. For large, heavily loaded Ball Mill gears a lubrication frequency of 15 to 20 minutes is normal. BENEFITS: WEAR PROTECTION - extends gear life. SURFACE SMOOTHING – The addition of the "Envirolube Extreme" additive combination multiplies the smoothing effect that has been witnessed for many years by customers who used Envirolube. Smoother surfaces spread the load, thus preventing wear. The need for special running-in compounds is eliminated. RUST PROTECTION - protects against rust and corrosion. ANTIOXIDANT - stabilizes asphaltic base and inhibits oxidation and hardening of the spent lubricant. APPLICATIONS: Envirolube Extreme meets or exceeds the requirements of major OEM’s for open gear lubricants. Use Medium grade on unheated mills in weather conditions between 0°F (-18°C) and 110°F (43°C). Use Heavy grade on heated mills up to 220°F (105°C) or where gears are badly worn. All grades are suitable for use in airless spray systems. Do not use with NBR rubber seals. Viton is recommended.Size and Type Container: Keg Weight: 144 LBS -

ENVIROLUBE HEAVY TCLP-SAFE DRUM Open Gear Lubricants
In almost every category of product, one brand stands out as the market leader in performance or quality. When it comes to protecting heavily loaded open gears, Whitmore’s Envirolube has been recognized by OEMs and end-users alike as that product. No other open gear lubricant offers the protection from wear that is available from Envirolube . The combination of a dense protective film, plus special chemical Extreme Pressure additives ensures smooth operation, even on gears that operate under the most severe load conditions. By using Envirolube on heavily loaded gears, existing wear damage such as pitting or spalling is smoothed, restoring a smooth operating surface. This process is sometimes called "planishing". Envirolube creates an effective layer of chemical and physical protection that prevents scuffing and pitting . The opposing asperities experience extreme load, but are prevented from welding to each other. The pressure causes the high points to yield, and they are pushed down into the "valleys". The end result is radical improvement in surface smoothness to both new and damaged gears. BENEFITS: WEAR PROTECTION, SURFACE SMOOTHING - extends gear life and reduces operating expenses. The end result is radical improvement in surface smoothness to both new and damaged gears. BENEFITS: WEAR PROTECTION, SURFACE SMOOTHING - extends gear life and reduces operating expenses. The need for special running-in compounds is eliminated. SURFACE SMOOTHING – Smoother surfaces spread the load, thus preventing wear. RUST PROTECTION - protects against rust and corrosion. ANTIOXIDANT - stabilizes asphaltic base and inhibits oxidation and hardening of the spent lubricant. APPLICATIONS: Envirolube meets or exceeds the requirements of major OEM’s for open gear lubricants. ENVIROLUBE XE 680 DRUM Open Gear Lubricants
Whitmore’s Envirolube XE is a proven, robust open gear lubricant used primarily on Ball Mills and Kilns. It is free of heavy metals and asphalt. Instead of asphalt, Envirolube XE contains a blend of high viscosity petroleum distillate, synthetic polymer and resins. The advantage over asphalt is that the spent lubricant does not harden over time. This greatly simplifies cleanup. Envirolube XE creates an effective layer of chemical and physical protection that prevents scuffing and pitting. The two opposing gears experience high load, but are prevented from damaging each other. Instead, the pressure causes the high points to yield, and they are compressed. The end result is radical improvement in surface smoothness. This process has been seen on both new and previously damaged gears. Smooth contacting surfaces are achieved without the use of a separate running-in product. Ideally, Envirolube should be sprayed intermittently onto the gears. This allows for partial evaporation of the solvent, resulting in a dramatic increase in the viscosity of the lubricant on the gears. For large, heavily loaded Ball Mill gears a lubrication frequency of 15 to 20 minutes is normal. BENEFITS: WEAR PROTECTION, SURFACE SMOOTHING - extends gear life and reduces operating expenses. The need for special running-in compounds is eliminated. GEAR INSPECTION – The brown coating is visible on the gear, but is transparent enough to allow for gear inspection using a strobe light. EASY CLEANUP - The non-asphaltic base remains soft. It flows readily from the gear guard and is easily removed. APPLICATIONS: Use on heavily loaded open gears such as Ball Mills and Kilns. The Medium and Heavy grades meet the specifications of Falk, FL Smidth and Metso Minerals. All grades are suitable for use in automatic lubrication systems using either drip tubes or spray nozzles. It is also suitable for use in airless spray systems.Size and Type Container: Drum Weight: 441 LBS -

It is also suitable for use in airless spray systems.Size and Type Container: Pail Weight: 38 LBS -

ENVIROLUBE XE MEDIUM DRUM Open Gear Lubricants
EUTECTIC GEAR OIL ISO 100 Drum Enclosed Gear Oils
Eutectic gear oil is formulated for use in all gearboxes, but especially where excessive wear and short component life drive up operating costs. Inadequately lubricated gears and bearings can experience scuffing under high load. Scuffing occurs when the tips of opposing asperities momentarily weld. The anti-wear additive system used in Eutectic gear oil stops scuffing by forming a protective chemical layer in the area of contact. The surfaces continue to experience high load, but rather than micro welding, they are made smoother by the pressure. The eutectic smoothing effect of Eutectic gear oil will also partially flatten pre-existing wear damage, usually within a few hundred hours of operation. Condemned equipment can stay in service indefinitely, or until a scheduled shutdown. Pitting is also stopped by the use of Eutectic gear oil. Pitting is caused by metal fatigue and metal fatigue is minimized when the load is carried by a smoother surface. Some “initial pitting” may still occur, especially where there is misalignment. Eutectic gear oils are not lapping compounds and do not contain any solid materials. BENEFITS: INNOVATIVE ADDITIVE CHEMISTRY – promotes rapid runin and smoothing of contact surfaces. ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE - free from stringent storage and disposal requirements of the EPA Hazardous Waste Law. EXTENDED DRAIN INTERVALS – greatly reduced sludge and wear particles. APPLICATIONS: Eutectic enclosed gear oils may be used in any gearbox where extreme pressure additives are recommended. They are especially recommended for units operating under very high load, shock load, or reversing action. Also recommended for gears which have previously been wear-damaged. Eutectic 5000 is recommended for open gears of sugar mills, kilns and dryers, especially where lubrication is by dip system or oiler wheel. All viscosity grades of Eutectic meet the requirements of DIN 51517-3. Size and Type Container: Drum Weight: 448 LBS.
