High-Temp Multipurpose Grease (Black) Jet-Lube AP-5 is formulated from bentone clay, AP-5 is noted for its high temperature insensitivity, its non-melting and does not thicken excessively at temperatures as low as 0F (-18C). It has mechanical stability, is water resistant, displays high stability, provides excellent adhesion to metals, prevents wear and has superior storage life. AP-5 contains molybdenum disulfide, oxidation inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors and metal deactivators. It offers positive protection for extreme services, which require heavy duty lubricant performance. Multipurpose Grease Jet-Lube CB-2 is an all-purpose, high temperature, lithium 12- hydroxystearate soap grease. Its buttery consistency makes it highly adhesive to metal and it has exceptional mechanical stability. CB-2 is a standard in NLGI 2 grade grease that will accommodate nearly all requirements for a multipurpose grease type lubricant. It is also available in other NLGI grades making CB-2 a truly versatile product. CB-2 has exceptional resistance to the effects of heat, water, oxidation and heavy loadings. It is water resistant, has a dropping point of 390°F (199°C) and contains corrosion and oxidation inhibitors. CB-2 offers protection wherever dirt, dust, high humidity, rain and adverse temperatures are critical problems. It is an all-weather product that lubricates efficiently at temperatures as low as 0°F (-18°C) to 300°F (149°C). For lower temperatures, ARCTIC is recommended. Extreme Low Temperature Grease Jet-Lube ARCTIC is an excellent service grease with an extreme temperature range, allowing it to resist cold without deterioration of the lubricating properties and still withstand summer or other high temperatures. It will resist such environmental contact as humidity, ice and road salts without hardening, washing off or deteriorating. ARCTIC is an anhydrous, calcium 12- hydroxystearate grease with a dropping point of 285°F (141°C). It contains no solid additives such as graphite, moly disulfide, or zinc oxide. JET-LUBE C-PLATE is specifically designed to aid in the break-in process of freshly-cut threads where platings or coatings are not available, nor desired due to the occupational or environmental hazards of those chemicals. It can also be used in conjunction with plated surfaces for additional protection. C-PLATE has low VOC’s, as exempted ketones are used as the diluent solvents. Once cured, C-PLATE forms a durable, acidfree, corrosion-resistant finish which may then be burnished into the steel surface during the intial work hardening of the threaded connection. The thin copper coating provides a dissimilar metal which acts to prohibit the metalto- metal contact under bearing loads which may cause galling damage to threaded connections. Applications For use on fresh-cut threads, flanges, screws, bolts, bushings, studs, and drill collar and drill pipe connections. Surfaces should be clean and oil-free for best results. MoS2 DRY FILM LUBRICANT Jet-Lube MOLY-MIST consists of a high percentage of micro-fine MoS2 suspended in a unique liquid, quick drying vehicle, it bonds dry-form MoS2 powder to surfaces without heating or baking. When sprayed on any surface it “touches dry” quickly and cures to an even, tenacious coating in 30 minutes. Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2) is a solid, dry-form lubricant with a coefficient of friction of only 0.03. Under sliding pressure, it will bond to ferrous and nonferrous metals, plastics, glass, rubber, wood, etc. It has high chemical and thermal stability; is inert to water, oil, alkalis, many acids and solvents. MOLY-MIST lowers friction, prevents galling, seizure, stickslip, fretting, corrosion and metal-to-metal contact; reduces torque and power consumption. It can be applied while equipment is in motion, deposits a coating of MoS2 on hard to reach surfaces of fixed, moving or irregular parts. MOLY-MIST is used wherever a dry lubricant is needed, particularly where temperatures are extreme, where environments are hostile, and where friction must be kept to a minimum.
