The CM Powerstar electric chain hoist presents a space-saving alternative to wire rope hoists for high-speed lifting. This heavy-duty hoist is built to maintain its strength and power year after year. Designed for applications previously the domain of wire rope hoists. Ideal for operating in extreme locations, such as blast furnaces, steelworks and coke plants. The CM® Shopstar® electric chain hoist is built for rugged industrial and commercial use. This durable hoist features high H4 duty cycles and a compact design ideal for use at workstations and production lines. Standard overload device protects the hoist, operator and surrounding structure from damaging overloads. The Hoist's ambient temperature range for optimal performance at the H4 duty cycle is 0º f (-17ºc) to 104º f (40ºc). Operation is permissible up to 150°F (65°C) when running at a reduced Duty Cycle; the frequency of Hoist operation must be limited to avoid overheating of motor. Special provisions should be made to ventilate the space and/or shield the Hoist from radiation. Condition and operation of the Hoist should be monitored to avoid damages and injury when operating above 104°F (40°C). Reference the Hoist's Operation and Maintenance Manual.
