Appleton UNY, UNF, and UNL Unions

What are Appleton UNY, UNF, and UNL Unions?

Appleton UNY, UNF, and UNL Unions are used for joining conduit and connecting conduit to enclosures and facilitate modifications by permitting the removal of an enclosure without the need to turn or remove the conduit. These explosionproof, dust-ignitionproof unions have accurately tapped, tapered NPT threads for tight, rigid joints and ground continuity. A smooth, rounded integral bushing in each hub protects conductor insulation. Non-expansion unions have a concentric ring interlocked design allowing for a smaller diameter, making them ideal for use in tighter spaces. Expansion unions have a one-piece design, eliminating need for disassembly during installation. The telescoping cylinder within cylinder design permits expansion or contraction.
