In addition to making bends in a conduit system, they allow connections for branch runs. These conduit bodies have roomy interiors making them ideal for use as pulling fittings and permit easy access to conductors for splicing and maintenance. They have accurately tapped, tapered threads for tight, rigid joints and ground continuity. A smooth, rounded integral bushing in each hub protects conductor insulation. Stainless steel pan-head cover screws secure the cover to the body and provide superior screwdriver seating and torque. Cover screws are captive to prevent loss in 1/2-to-2-inch sizes. FM9 covers with integral gasket are suitable for use in wet locations.
