Appleton Bus Drop Cable Supports and Clamps

What are Appleton Bus Drop Cable Supports and Clamps?

Appleton Bus Drop Cable Supports and Clamps are designed for exposed branch feeder installations. They are ideal for use to support cables in flexible connecting circuits that are used to feed equipment where the cable is run in a fixed overhead bused structure to a point directly above the equipment, then dropped with a 90° bend. At the point of drop, the cable clamp is installed to support the cable. Mooring cable clamps are used to attach a guy wire to the cable where it leaves the bus structure, thus preventing wire terminal strain and possible conductor breakage. They ensure quick installation and simple modification. A single clamp covers an entire range of cable sizes and can be used for a 90° bend. Two clamps can be used back-to-back, to allow for an additional loop providing extra cable footage when a machine is likely to be moved.
