Appleton AE Bolted Molded Case Switches and Enclosures are used to disconnect circuits, and control lighting and power circuits for amperages from 30 to 1200 and voltages up to 600 Vac and 250 Vdc. Ideal for use where hazardous materials are handled or stored, the explosionproof, dust-ignitionproof, watertight enclosure is designed with a precision machined flamepath between the box and cover and the external flange maximizes the internal space. The external operating handle is equipped with stops for limiting handle travel and the switch operators can be locked in the ON or OFF position (up to 3 padlocks). There are standard outlets at the top and bottom for line and load wiring, and the switches are mounted on a galvanized steel removable pan.
