Appleton UPR Series 32 Amp Plugs and Sockets are ideal for use where an increased safety (Ex e) socket is required for use with portable or stationery electrical equipment such as lighting systems, conveyors, heaters, motor-generator sets, air conditioners, compressors, and pumps. Plug and socket system is designed with a mechanical interlock to ensure disengagement cannot occur while energized. A large ON/OFF actuator on the receptacle gives clear, visible indication of the receptacle status for maximum hazardous location protection. This low voltage receptacle can be locked in either the 0 (Off) or 1 (On) position. Each voltage model is color coded for easy identification. For added safety the receptacles are keyed to accept only UPR plugs of the proper voltage.
