Appleton JBR Series Switched Receptacles are ideal for use with stationary or portable electrically operated devices such as lighting systems, conveyors, heaters, motor-generator sets, air conditioners, compressors, and pumps. These pin and sleeve receptacles provide Style 2 (shell and extra pole) grounding and positive polarization, ensuring only plugs of the same style, number of poles, and amperage rating may be used. They are factory wired between the receptacle and terminal block provided in mounting box to ensure easy wiring. The ACP plugs have mechanical cable clamps to prevent strain on cables; they meet or exceed UL strain relief pull-out requirements. Simple to operate, insert the plug and turn the breaker handle to “ON” position. To remove the plug, turn the handle to the “OFF” position, then lift the plug release knob and pull the plug out.
