Whitmore’s Hyperion oils bring together several developments in both base oil and additive technology to create a true multifunctional product. Hyperion oils meet the needs of today’s high precision hydraulic systems, turbines, and air compressors.
Hyperion has been formulated using the highest quality severely hydroprocessed paraffinic oils. Laboratory tests and field experience have clearly demonstrated the positive impact of these base oils on finished product properties and performance.
In laboratory tests, Hyperion severely hydroprocessed base oil shows a major reduction in evaporation loss. Oxidation stability exceeds that of conventional base oils by 60-100%. These performance improvements translate into reduced carbon and varnish deposits. The end result is longer oil and component life.
Whitmore uses an ashless (zinc-free) additive system that has been specifically tailored to these base oils. This further enhances the longevity and high temperature performance of the Hyperion series. An extension in oil life of 50% can be expected. (The use of oil analysis to determine ideal change frequency is recommended.)
Use Hyperion in rotary screw compressors where the discharge temperature ranges up to 190°F (88°C).
BENEFITS:
- LONG LIFE – 50% longer oil life. Further extension is possible depending on operating temperature and maintenance practices, such as filtration.
- REDUCED DEPOSITS – less carbon and varnish means reduced stress and wear on components.
- ANTIWEAR PROTECTION – offers wear protection without the surface deposits that are created by zinc-based additive systems. These deposits can cause stickiness in highprecision spool valves.
- RESISTS FOAMING – low foaming tendency. Entrained air is readily released.
APPLICATIONS:
Hyperion oils are suitable for use in hydraulic systems, turbines and the majority of flooded screw, flooded rotary vane, and reciprocating air compressors. They are also suitable for use on conveyor chains operating at temperatures up to 200°F (93°C). Viscosity grade ISO 32 is recommended for use in compressed air systems for lubrication of air operated tools.

KOL’R-KING 1 Gallon PAIL
$70.18This product is available in another size. Learn more here: KOL’R KING Drill Collar Compound contains 60% pure metallic lead, rust and corrosion inhibitors, plus special proprietary binders to reduce lead buildup and minimize the need for wire brushing on breakout. The premium quality metallic lead in KOL’R KING meets or exceeds the lead specifications listed in the First Appendix of API Recommended Practice 5A3. Applications KOL’R KING Drill Collar Compound is designed to provide maximum protection of drill collar threads and shoulders over a wide variety of conditions. The premium quality metallic lead forms a gasket-like shield on threads and shoulders and acts as a cushion, preventing direct metal-to-metal contact, and protects against damage from galling or seizure caused by extreme shock loads on drill collars. The high volume of solids also allows KOL’R KING to be used as a pipe thread sealant and as an anti-seize thread compound. Should not be used where the use of products containing Lead is prohibited. -
KOPR-KOTE ARCTIC 5 GALLON
$284.67Oilfield Tool Joint & Drill Collar Compound - Arctic Formula Jet-Lube Kopr-Kote Arctic Drill Collar and Tool Joint Compound is a premium-quality, unleaded compound containing copper flake, graphite, and other natural extreme pressure and anti-wear additives. KOPR-KOTE ARCTIC uses the same solids package formulated to prevent excessive circumferential makeup by increasing the coefficient of friction under compressive forces as standard KOPR-KOTE®. For severe cold drilling applications KOPR-KOTE ARCTIC utilizes very low pour-point naphthenic oil which greatly improves the applicability of the compounds to the connection while providing the same water resistance of standard KOPR-KOTE. Benefits of using Kopr-Kote Arctic Repeatable frictional characteristics Resistance to downhole make-up Highly adhesive Improved low temperature applicability Contains no lead or zinc Extreme pressure additives Sticks to wet joints Benefits Repeatable frictional characteristics High temp complex grease Resistance to make up downhole Not considered a marine pollutant Highly adhesive Specifications Base Materials: Anhydrous Calcium / Petroleum Friction / K-Factor: 1.15 (drill strings) Relative to API RP 7G, 1.40 (relative to API-Mod) Relative to API RP 5A3 Certifications: Not classified as marine pollutant - DOT Approval CA2004080025 View all -
VORTEX EP 1 50 CT CARTRIDGES Greases
Whitmore’s Vortex Coupling Grease is a tacky, lithium-polymer thickened grease specifically formulated for long term lubrication of greased mechanical couplings including gear tooth, chain type, and steel grid designs. Vortex may be used in couplings of any size and at high speed. Results of the high-speed centrifugal test (ASTM D-4425) have shown that the dual thickener used in Vortex permits only miniscule oil separation even at 15,000 rpm. Oil separation is the major cause of lubricant failure in couplings. Robust anti-wear and extreme pressure additives in combination with a high viscosity fluid assure protection from abrasive wear that is generated by low amplitude, high frequency rubbing motion common to industrial couplings. Vortex can be used to lubricate slow moving, heavily loaded bushings, especially where water contamination exists. It is also recommended for pressurized wire rope lubrication devices. Supplemental heat may be required in order to facilitate pumping at temperatures below freezing. BENEFITS: REDUCED DOWNTIME - no unscheduled downtime due to lubrication failures. HOUSEKEEPING - no oil leakage, even where seals are imperfect. LONG LIFE - extended grease life gives an extra measure of security and reduces maintenance labor. ALL COUPLINGS - one product can be used for all sizes and speeds, including areas of water contamination. TEMPERATURE RANGE – Usable from -20° F to 300°F (-30° C to 150° C) APPLICATIONS: Use Vortex in all sizes of gear, chain and grid type couplings, where grease is the recommended lubricant. Typical manufacturers include Fast’s, Koppers, Lovejoy, Falk, TB Wood’s, and Browning. Vortex can be used at all speeds found in industrial applications and also in the presence of water and steam. Also suitable for slow-moving bushings and greased wire ropes. Vortex meets the requirements of AGMA CG-1, CG-2, and CG-3 for coupling grease Size and Type Container: CS Weight: 50 LBS. -
