What is Deacon 325 PTFE Injectable Sealant / Packing?

#1 Selling PTFE. 100% PTFE (fibers, fillers and particles). Organic carrier. Brown color. Good travel. High fiber concentration for good bridging. Excellent resistance to most solvents and acids (not for use on oxidizing chemicals). Shelf life is 2 years in closed containers.

Where is it used?

Packing and sealant for valves, flanges and enclosures.

What temperature does it take, and what is it chosen against?

Service rating -25F to 500F (-31C to 260C). That places it at the cold end of the Deacon range and the only grade here rated below freezing. In practice it is chosen against 454 and 3100-S, both of which start at 250F and cannot be used cold.
