Appleton Hinged Steel Poles

What are Appleton Hinged Steel Poles?

Appleton Hinged Steel Poles are used to mount single or multiple luminaires to heights from 6.1 to 9.1 m (20 to 35 ft) with an appropriate pole-top mounting bracket. They have a reinforced handhole with a cover and grounding lug. The hinged design allows easy servicing of luminaires at shoulder height. The heavy duty hinge assembly secures the upper section to the lower section with high strength bolt and a flexible protective channel is provided to protect wires when the pole is lowered. The pole counterbalance is designed to offset the weight of the luminaires. Base plates and anchor bolts are furnished complete with nuts and washers. For mounting a single floodlight, either a GAM8SF pipe or wall mount bracket or a GSF20 poletop slip-fitter is required, which are ordered separately.
