Appleton EBR Interlocked Circuit Breaker Receptacle features explosionproof, dust-ignitionproof, and weather resistant construction making them ideal for indoor and outdoor installations to connect portable electrical equipment in areas where damp or corrosive conditions exist and locations where ignitable amounts of dust are present. They are designed to provide interlocked connect and disconnect operations as well as short circuit and thermal time delay overload protection. The plug is mechanically locked in the receptacle when the circuit breaker is “ON”. The plug and receptacle contacts cannot be made or broken under load. The breaker operating handle can be padlocked in either the “ON” or “OFF” position and is trip free. The ACP plugs have mechanical cable clamps to prevent strain on cables; they meet or exceed UL strain relief pull-out requirements. Simple to operate, insert the plug and turn the breaker handle to “ON” position. To remove the plug, turn the handle to the “OFF” position, then lift the plug release knob and pull the plug out.
