BoreShield is specialty slurry of biopolymers used to modify the filtration and carrying capacity of fluid systems. BoreShield is best applied in high-density/high permeability soils, and can extenuate the performance of bentonite-based muds, or be used in “stand-alone” applications.

FAQs
Is BoreShield only for sand?
BoreShield’s target soil conditions are sand, rock, and gravel. However, it can stabilize any loose or high density soils.
Is BoreShield just for Bentonite mixes?
BoreShield, with the addition of ProDrill, is an effective base fluid in some drilling scenarios (usually smaller diameter projects). In that case, it can utilized with all ProBore series products and is completely compatible. BoreShield is also a good rheology modifier for bentonite-based mixes, and will help to increase filtration control and gel strength of ProVis HYB (or other) bentonite mixes.
Will BoreShield freeze?
BoreShield, like most suspensions, will get more viscous as the temperatures get colder. It is not water-based, and will not freeze.
MIXING GUIDE
1-4 EZ Bottle treats 500 gallons (application dependent)
BoreShield can be used either as an additive to bentonite-based or polymeric muds. When utilizing with ProVis HYB or other bentonite products, 1-2 EZB’s of BoreShield should be added once the bentonite is hydrated/fully yielded. If using as a component in a polymeric system (for example, in conjunction with ProAction’s ProBore series products), 2-4 EZB’s of BoreShield should be hydrated after ProDyne; but before any other polymers (ProDrill for example).
If starting with an empty tank:
1. Fill tank with water to desired capacity (if not full, at least 1/2 of tank
capacity)
2. Add BoreShield through the top of the tank, or through venturi hopper
3. Mix tank for 5 minutes to ensure full hydration
If adding into a tank already filled to target capacity:
1. Tank fluid must be moving either via pump or mixing jets
2. Add BoreShield through the top of the tank
3. Mix tank for 5 minutes to ensure full hydration
