LUBRIPLATE Lubricants have always been non-toxic and as pure as commercially feasible. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Ingredient Assessment Division, Science, Food Safety and Quality Service, working within the rules set forth by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have drawn up strict guidelines in regard to the type of lubricants that can be used in food processing plants operating under the jurisdiction where there may be incidental food contact with the food being processed. These guidelines also apply to the United States Department of Commerce, Fishery Products Inspection Program. The products in the category of lubricants for incidental contact come under the classification of H-1 replacing the now obsolete “AA” classification.

A light SAE 5W oil recommended for dipping, spraying and brushing of lubricated parts and “0” rings as
well as airline lubricators. Excellent pour point.
