The pump can be ordered with an installed four port manifold for operating four tools concurrently. This version comes complete with a 1.5 gallon reservoir.
Pressure Adjustment Knob
The easily accessible knob allows the user to adjust the pressure output of the pump, increasing or decreasing torque when necessary.
Twinline High Pressure Hydraulic Hoses
Each pump comes standard with one set of 15′ twinline hydraulic hoses. The hoses are 4:1 safety rated and made of durable steel mesh in a protective rubberized coating.
No Drip Quick Connect Couplers
These 3:1 rated safety couplers are designed for simple engagement. The coupler collar ensures safe operation.
What is the TorcUP AP1000 air-driven torque wrench pump?
The AP1000 (TorcUP also writes AP-1000) is the air hydraulic torque wrench pump of the TorcUP AP series: an air motor drives a two stage pump that powers hydraulic torque wrenches up to a maximum working pressure of 10,000 PSI. TorcUP describes the AP series as the pump for when electricity is not available, in explosive environments or on jobs where air is more readily available than electricity.
From the TorcUP manual: the pump is supplied with a dual non-conductive high pressure hose with couplers, and only tools, hoses and accessories rated at 10,000 PSI may be connected. TorcUP’s wording describes the intended use; check the pump against your site’s hazardous-area rules.
Which air supply and specs does the AP1000 torque pump need?
TorcUP’s AP series catalog rates the AP1000 air motor at 4 HP @ 90 psi / 50 cfm, so size the compressor and air line for that flow before the job. The manual calls for dry lubricated air at 100 PSIG maximum, an air line of not less than 1/2″ pipe size, and oil operating temperatures that do not exceed 140° F.
