What are Appleton ST Liquidtight Connectors and Couplings?

Appleton ST Liquidtight Connectors and Couplings are used to secure, ground and seal liquidtight flexible metal conduit (LFMC) to boxes, enclosures and IMC. These liquidtight, raintight, oiltight, concretetight fittings are available in straight, 45° and 90° connectors, combination couplings, wire mesh connectors, and models with external grounding lugs. The ST Series has NPT threads and offers models with or without an insulated throat. Their compact, slim diameter design ensures a small turning radius. These products feature a floating sleeve that self-aligns to minor conduit variations and protects the seal from conduit flexing. The nylon ferrule’s deep-biting threads prevent pull-out, and a compression nut squeezes the conduit tightly between the sleeve and ferrule. The connector body prevents the conduit from twisting and binding, and the locknut bites in for vibration-proof connection. An “O” ring is supplied to form a tight seal to metal surfaces. The models with an insulated throat are ideal for use to protect the conductor insulation.
